Terms of Use & End User License Agreement

Paste My · Version 1.0 · Effective 5 September 2026

1. Overview

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (together, the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the clipboard history application known as Paste My. By downloading, installing, opening, accessing, purchasing or using Paste My, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Acknowledgement. You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and MAHTCA GLOBAL, and not with Apple, and that MAHTCA GLOBAL — not Apple — is solely responsible for Paste My and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services in respect of Paste My. Section 14 describes Apple's separate right to enforce these Terms against you.

Paste My records the content you copy on your Mac so that you can retrieve it again, shows you where each clipping came from, lets you search and organise it, and provides conversions that act on your clipboard. It requires no account and operates locally.

2. Licence

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Paste My on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You may not, and may not permit anyone else to: copy, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Paste My except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it; rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense it; remove or alter any proprietary notice; or use it to build a competing product.

3. Acceptance and termination

You must accept these Terms to use Paste My. Acceptance is requested inside the application before first use and recorded locally on your Mac. If you decline, the application will not be available for use.

You may terminate these Terms at any time by ceasing to use Paste My and removing it from your devices. We may terminate them if you materially breach them. On termination the licence ends; sections that by their nature should survive do so.

4. Your content

Everything you copy and everything you do with Paste My remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence over it.

You are solely responsible for the content you place on your clipboard and therefore into your history, and for ensuring that recording it is lawful and consistent with any obligation of confidentiality, privacy or intellectual property you owe to a third party. This matters in a professional context: if you handle other people's personal data, you are the party responsible for it.

Your content is stored locally on your Mac. We have no ability to access, recover or restore it, and no copy of it exists anywhere else on our behalf.

5. Purchases

Paste My is free to download. Optional one-time in-app purchases increase how much history the application keeps. These are one-time purchases and not subscriptions.

All purchases are processed by Apple and governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with those terms; we cannot issue them.

If a purchase is refunded or otherwise revoked, the corresponding capability is withdrawn. Paste My does not silently delete your content in that situation: it informs you of the change and gives you the choice of restoring the purchase or reducing your history yourself.

Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, subject to the exceptions in Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU. Where the purchase is made through Apple, Apple's process applies.

6. Acceptable use

Your use of Paste My is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Any breach of that policy is a material breach of these Terms.

7. Availability and changes

We may update Paste My, and may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We aim to avoid changes that remove a capability you have paid for, and where such a change is unavoidable we will say so.

Paste My is designed to operate without a network connection. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Backups are your responsibility

Paste My is a convenience for retrieving what you have copied. It is not a backup system and must not be relied upon as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of anything important.

9. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paste My is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MAHTCA GLOBAL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use Paste My.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Paste My in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ten euros.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MAHTCA GLOBAL against any claim, liability, loss or expense arising out of your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or out of content you handled using Paste My in violation of the rights of a third party or of applicable law.

12. Intellectual property

Paste My, its name, its icon and its interface are protected by intellectual property law and remain the property of MAHTCA GLOBAL and its licensors. These Terms grant you a licence to use the application and nothing more.

13. Export and sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, any country subject to an embargo by the European Union or the United States, and that you are not on any list of prohibited or restricted parties maintained by either.

14. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

You further acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for Paste My or its content, for any maintenance or support, for any product warranty, for addressing any claim relating to Paste My, or for the investigation or defence of any third-party intellectual property claim relating to it.

The standard Apple licence terms for applications apply where they are not superseded by these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always published here with its effective date. Where a change is material we will present it in the application. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of it.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of Paste My, are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available to EU consumers.

17. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder shall remain in force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MAHTCA GLOBAL concerning Paste My.
