Help with Paste My

Paste My has no account and no sign-in, so there is nothing to recover and nobody to verify. If something is not behaving, the fastest route is usually a guide — and if it is not, write to us.

Tell us what you did, what happened and what you expected. Include your macOS version if you can.

What we know about you

Nothing. There is no account, no analytics and no telemetry, which means we see nothing unless you tell us. The more precisely you can describe what happened, the faster it gets fixed. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what stays on your Mac and what never leaves it.

Common questions

Where is my clipboard history?

Press ⇧⌘V, or click the Paste My icon in your menu bar. The full walkthrough covers reading an entry and getting anything back.

Nothing new is being saved.

Saving is probably paused. The menu-bar icon shows which state you are in; press ⇧⌘K or use the menu-bar picker to resume. Anything copied while paused was not recorded.

My history is shorter than I expected.

How far back it reaches depends on how much room it has. The free version keeps your five most recent clippings and a one-time purchase widens that. Pinned clippings are never removed by cleanup, but they do use history room, so pin only what matters.

One app's copies never appear.

That app may be on your ignore list or have its capture set to off, in which case its copies are skipped by design. Password managers are a separate case: they mark what they put on the clipboard as private, and that content is never stored.

I can see an entry but not what is in it.

It was recognised as sensitive and is masked on purpose. Open it and choose to reveal it when you need to.

I bought more room and it has not applied.

Use Restore Purchases, which asks Apple to confirm what you own.

What do you know about me?

Nothing. Paste My has no account, collects no data and has no analytics. The only network use anywhere in it is Apple's App Store when you buy or restore. The Privacy Policy says so in detail.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 13.0 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Legal documents

The Terms of Use and End User License Agreement, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy are all on this site, and the same documents are shown inside the application before first use.
